LUNAR FLOWER-SHAPED COINS

SERIES I (1993-2004)

The Chinese Lunar Flower-Shaped Silver Coin Series I were initially struck from 90% fine Silver, with each coin weighing exactly 2/3 troy ounce. This was increased in 2001 (Year of the Snake) to one troy ounce, with the Silver refined to 99.9%. The mintage limit for the Silver Series I is a scarce 6,800 coins only.

SERIES II (2005-2016)

The second Chinese Lunar Flower-Shaped Silver Coin Series is minted from .999 fine Silver, with each coin weighing exactly 1 troy ounce. The mintage limit for the silver series II was set at just 60,000 coins.
