The magnificent Giant Panda Bear is the national symbol of the People's Republic of China. Today, the existence of these playful creatures is highly endangered. Approximately 2,000 Panda Bears are known to exist in the wild, while fewer than 300 are said to live in captivity- a figure which reflects the fickle breeding habits of these unassuming, gentle giants.
